A: Dodge viper sells for about $80,000 and not too many consumers can buy the car. Majority of the buyers for that type of car pays cash. If you want to finance it you must have at less $20,000 down and can afford to pay around $2,000 a month and have job making at less $15,000 a month before the bank will even consider.

A: no body knows yet and they may decide not to do away with it,you know chrysler Corporation changes their mind about a lot of things so until i seen it in writing i wouldn’t be for sure that their going to do away with it,they may decide to limit the production of instead of do away with it,good luck.

What would the 0-60 time be on an average nascar?

A: the cars on the nascar races aren’t set up for short track driving they have higher gear ratios and wouldn’t do very good against a viper,the viper would win in a race from 0-60 anytime,but on a long track where they could get wound out,the nascar would smoke the viper,viper wasn’t set up to run for a long period of time on a long track like a nascar car is.good luck.

Why do you have to get different rear tires than the front tires?

A: The rear tires are a larger (wider) size to accomodate all of that power. Staggered front and rear tire sizes are quite common on high performance RWD cars.

A: Dodge vipers fall into the same category as the corvette, camaro, fiero, etc. They are fun to drive fast. And the owners are rough on them. Heavy on the gas pedal. It wears down a car. If you want a viper, it might take longer, but I would suggest either rebuilding a classic, or buying one new. that way, your not getting the left overs.

the gts version of the viper can range from as low as 26,000 dollars to as high as 43,000. The current one i’m looking at is about 37 grand.

A: You cant get it, no job, no credit, its going to show up on your credit report, that they will run and it will kick back as a high risk credit and by law you have to have full coverage insurance. How do you expect to get a personal loan of any amount with no job and no credit you think the bank or credit union will just hand you the money. NOT
And even at 19 you cant walk in and buy a car like that without having someone over 25 with credit to co-sign and will to make the payments if you default

Q: My buddy wants to put a nitrous kit on his Dodge Viper. Will this cause any problems or damage?
What are the consequences of doing this?

I imagine it will go pretty fast when hes done.

A: wow your friend really has a need for speed.

With a nitrous kit you will need an ecu reflash or a piggyback ece. If your car doesn’t throw in extra fuel to accomidate for the extra oxygen released by n2o then the mixture will run lean and detonation in the cylinder will occur causing damage and eventually death to the engine.

Q: Is it possible and advisable to install hydraulics to a sports car such as a Ferrarri, Dodge Viper, or an EVO?
Even if the car are fully accessorized (a hybrid, bulletproff, lights, doors, etc) and even has nitro. You know, to make it bounce around to impress the chicks?
Because those types of cars’ ground clearance are so low. If the road is too rocky or something, you could use the hydraulics to make the ground clearance a little bit higher. That way, the flooring of your car won’t get damaged. And in the process, make it bounce a bit. Coz it looks cool.

A: Why would you? A car like a Ferrari is designed for one thing…to go fast. Why would you weigh it down with a hydraulic suspension?

Q: The Mercedes SLR is just a slower copy of the Dodge Viper?
If it isn’t in the same league, then how did it win 3 24 hours at le mans in a row and whip all the mercedes around nurburg?

A: The Dodge Viper is in it’s own league. They do look like they have similar style with the long nose. The Viper has a true manual transmission with a true 600 HP V10 engine unlike the Mercedes SLR with it’s 610 HP Supercharged V8 engine.

Q: What do you think of the new Dodge Viper, is it worth buying?
Where can i get info on its ratings? I tried checking out consumer reports but 2007 is obviously not out yet.

A: ive driven one, i work at a dodge dealership, and ive driven the new corvettes, my vote personaly is neither. if your gonna bu a supercar i would go german made. the viper is very fast but it can be very difficult to control at lower speeds with rapid acceleration, if you are at a dead stop and floor it it can very easily get away from you. at higher speeds the viper is very easy to handle but you have to remember, this car can burn the tires at 70mph. the viper has a 500ci engine with 500hp at 540lbs torque. the “vette” is the biggest peice of crap i have ever driven. handles terribly at high and low speeds, and just doesnt fit a person well. i wouldnt buy one. but if you really want to know what i wold do: 07 shelby gt 500 mustang. its got a decent price and its well built and just as fast as the viper, and personaly i think it handles better at high and low speeds and i like the looks better. so lets rundown real fast

Viper = great supercar, not an easy drive tho, make sure you can handle the car or it will handle you.
Vette = id rather walk, you feel like your crammed into a small box on weels, i know guys with minivans that handle better, a downright horribl car.
Mustang = this isnt fords first attempt at a monster mustang, nor carol shelbys, this is the one i would look into as far as speed it is as fast as the other 2 and i think it looks better, probably better on price too. that and its a freaking SHELBY GT 500!!! its freaking SWEET!

Q: How much would auto insurance cost for a 1996 dodge viper?
I just need some sort of estimate.

A: actual rates on that one will vary a lot,for a person 18 with a good driving record i seen it for 400 a month,and that’s the cheapest it was,it goes on up depending on the amount of coverage you want on the car,tops on it was 750 a month,for full coverage with a perfect driving record,no car is worth driving that much ,not to me,good luck.

Q: do you think that a dodge viper engine would fit in a dodge Dakota 94 viper and 89 Dakota?

A: well considering at best your stratus is worth 8 grand maybe 10 if its fully loaded with vary low miles and a 04 viper is still worth atleast 30 grand so i have to say no. Unless you find a totaled viper. Here is just to give you an idea. I did a search of 04 stratus’ within a 300 mile radius of my house the most expensive asking price was $10,334.
