Q: does anyone have a 2000 and up Ford Focus for sale?
good condition 1998-2006 hatchback 2-door in south florida and under $1400

A: sorry no

Q: please price up for a private sale ford focus 1.8lx?
very good body ,work good clean car, 5door ,sreg 98, 120′000m needs little work boot lock latch and a cooling fan for the radiator …no tax &mot but otherwise very good clean car

A: Without an MOT a car is not fit for purpose. I would suggest it would be worth your time and money to put an MOT on the car, tax is a little less important but if a car has six months tax and a long mot buyers will have a lot more confidence and pay more money.

I would guess your car is worth about £2000/£2300 with a valid MOT. You may get more in a private sale but without an MOT few will want to pay more than £1500 (and they will be private/hobby traders wanting to MOT the car and sell for proffit)

Q: £ for £ what is better? A 2008 BMW 118D M Sport or 2010 Ford Focus?
For my budget I can get this; http://www.lookers.co.uk/used-car-sales/ford-focus-25_st-3_5dr-manual-petrol/55878/

Or a BMW 1 Series 118D Sport.

I have never driven a Ford and don’t want my friends to laugh.
I am someone who keeps their cars till it dies, so I am talking about engine reliability.

A: Now you’re talking. The ST has far better residuals than a 1 series Beemer… Ok, so it’s not a “premium” brand in your eyes, but it wil keep far more of it’s value after 5 years, as the BMW 1 series diesel is known to be a bit of a lemon in the trade. Especially in White, which is a colour going out of fashion as we speak. Silver may not be the top seller, but it’s been in the top 5 colours for nearly 30 years. Also, look at the toys you get in the Focus, compared to the BMW. Strikes me that the Bavarians are being a bit mean with their kit. I’m glad you looked at the last adverts I posted for you. Keep an open mind. As for the Vauxhall, yes, there is a warranty for 10 years, but there are No VXR Astras at the moment, the new 3 door isn’t out yet. Avoid the Corsa, they’re worse than the BMW. Not a lot of choice really is there! GO FORD!

Q: i have a ford focus 2007 for sale 5000 good car?
4 door ac/ amfm/cd player front wheel drive color is gray sun roof and auto locks

A: I took a quick look on nada guide www.nada.com they have a free consumer guide there were 12 different models of focus that year, as well as a number of options which could raise the price, It helps a lot if you put in as much info such as year make and model, mileage, condition, and any extra options, we can give a more accurate guess. But the base LE (I picked 100,000 miles as a guess) (to get a price) average trade in was 5,300 , and clean retail was like 8,300 and change, so if you have a better model with lower miles you seem to have done pretty good as far as I can tell, enjoy your car.

Q: Anyone have a Ford Focus coil pack for sale? 2000 sohc?

A: Did you try what I told you, in your other question, or are you prepared to spend money on parts you don’t need?

Q: Should I buy a Ford Focus?
I’m looking to buy my first car and I recently found a 2000 Ford Focus Zts for sale! I really love the car and it has a pretty good deal on it & it has around 136,000 miles on it. So, about how long will this Focus last me considering the mileage that’s already on it? Also, I hear the transmissions go out of these cars easily and it has a few other problems, but I really don’t know too much about cars. So, do you think the Focus is worth buying? I need a safe and reliable car. How many more miles will this car go up to? Any info and advice is very much appreciated (:

A: Depends on how it’s been maintained. The best advice I can give you is have it looked at by a mechanic.

An important factor you didn’t mention is the price. If it’s under $2000 its a great deal. Between 2000 and 3000, I would tell you to look at craigslist and see what else is available in your area and do some comparison shopping. More than $3000 is probably too much for that car.

Q: Question about focus zx5?
There is a 2003 zx5 ford focus for sale in my area. it has 75000 miles, its a two owner. It is the top of the line model and runs and drives excellent. The person who had it used it for commuting for the past couple years off and on and so its mostly highway miles. He had the car serviced once a month so about every 3000 miles. Is there anything that I need to look out for with this car that needs to be changed soon. He just put new tires rotors and breaks on the vehicle. When does the timing belt need to be changed, if it has one. Is there anything else I should be worried about.

A: HAVE THE CAR COMPLETELY CHECKED OUT BY AN INDEPENDENT AUTO REPAIR SHOP ALSO HAVE THE DEALER RUN AN OASIS CHECK ON THIS VEHICLE AND THE OASIS WILL COST YOU NOTHING.

Q: Do you think that Honda and Toyota better watch their back?
DEARBORN, Mich. , June 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — For the second time in
its nine-year history, Ford Focus sales eclipsed the 30,000-unit milestone in
May.

Focus sales totaled 32,579, up 53 percent compared with a year ago.
Retail sales to individual customers more than doubled (up 105 percent). The
first time was October 2001 , when industry sales soared in response to
zero-percent financing.

“Our dealers are selling the Focus at unprecedented turn rates,” said Jim
Farley , Ford group vice president, Marketing and Communications. “In fact,
Focus’ retail sales were 91 percent of beginning inventory, which puts it in
the same league as the industry’s best-selling small cars. This is a strong
statement about customer demand for Ford’s newest small car.”

Ford is moving to increase Focus availability. In early April, Ford
announced plans to produce 245,000 Focus units in 2008, approximately 30
percent more than in 2007. Ford now is targeting to produce 280,000 Focus
units in 2009.

A: i love the people who think the new focus is junk but the old one was good, mechnically its the same car sillies. The increased focus sales is do to the gas crunch, however ford is making much better products now than they were 3-4 yrs ago and they are nearly caught up with toyota and honda in quality. One of the big reasons for that is that toyota and honda are doing what ford did 15-20 yrs ago, they are selling to ton on cars and making alot of money on them but not improving thier product. Ford is doing what the japaneese companies 15-20 yrs ago, reengineering all thier small engines (non truck engines) by the end of 09 for better gas milage and fords sell for much cheaper than toyota and honda, so they are selling good or better cars for less money. Toyota and honda are here to stay, they are not stupid they will start making leaps with thier product soon. chrysler is dead, so it will be toyota, honda, ford, and gm as the big boys now. It will never be like the old days where Ford and GM have insane market shares and can do what they want, people just dont have the brand loyalty anymore. So all in all Ford and GM are not going to take over the auto world like the old days but they are catching up with toyota and honda.

Q: ford focus zx4 st opinions?
we are a family on a budget. we have 2 kids. my husband works full time and im starting school in the fall. right now we drive a 1993 plymouth acclaim we bought for $1500 last year, but its now got 210000 kms (131000 miles) and we have sunk over $3000 in repairs over the last year, so we’re looking at upgrading to something more modern, with a monthly car payment and buying the extended warranty for 2 years. We’ve looked around town and we’ve mostly decided on a 2005 ford focus zx4 st. we werent even going to consider it until we test drove it and compared it to the other vehicles in our price range. its got 95000 kms on it (59000 miles) and is fully loaded with sunroof, heated leather seats, 5 speed manual, power everything, 6 cd changer, premium upgraded sound system etc etc etc. nothing else in our price range has compared feature wise. the car we’re looking at is listed at $7895, canadian funds. are we getting a good deal? from what i can see online, i think we are although its hard to find this sport edition for sale, its mostly the focus SE or SES. we like this one because even though we cant afford huge payments right now with me going to school, its still top of the line for this particular model with all the features. its also, MUCH MUCH nicer to look at inside than our current crapmobile haha. so – opinions please? what do you think of this car? it seems to fit the bill perfectly – spacious enough for 2 car seats in the back and a double stroller in the trunk for the babies, but sporty and fun enough for mom and dad to enjoy driving daily.

A: i have a 07 focus se and it great on gas and is just right for family that is on a tight budget, the trunk is huge and its great for putting anything in there that u need, it is a great deal that you are getting and u will be happy that u bought it. it will save u money on gas like u wouldn’t believe. overall its a great car for anyone that is on a budget

Q: looking for opinions on the car we want to purchase – 2005 ford focus ZX4 ST?
