Q: How do I make my 2000 Honda Accord Howl?
I have a 2000 Honda Accord, everything stock. AUTOMATIC
What do I need to install for my car to make it sound like a bad boy? Meaning while reving it.
A: get a Cold Air Intake. .. it gives you the engine growl without a ricer can in the back. and it will give you a couple more miles per gallon and a little more horsepower.
Q: how much does it cost to update my 93 honda accord airconditioner to the new legal standard?
I have a 93 honda accord ex and it has airconditioning already installed. I believe that the freon has run out. However, since the laws changed in 94, i must now update my system to the earth friendly freon. I was wondering what is a reasonable price to pay?
A: Check around the opened hood seams around the under the hood, there might be a BLUE STICKER that confirms the conversion was already done. Unless you are the only owner and know this was never done.
They might do a leak detection first to verify the system is in tact, if it is, it would be a safe bet to ball park a $150 estimate for everything.
I believe they also replace the expansion valve and drier, those parts you can get for $30 each, maybe another $100 to swap out, not sure about R-134a conversion, but that’s a MANDATORY step when replacing the compressor, but you might want to ask.
Q: How do I get the keyless entry on my Honda Accord 06 to work?
I bought a used honda accord 06 from a dealership in November. Last night my keyless entry (which is on the acutal key) worked fine, however, this morning the lock button did not work. The unlock button works fine. What could possibly be the problem? And will cost me a lot to get it fixed by the dealership?
A: If the problem is only with one door the problem is typically with the door lock actuator inside the door that pulls the lock mechanism to “lock”. so unlock all the doors and press the lock button. if the other doors open and the driver’s door does not the lock actuator is bad. It usually costs about $200 to replace a defective door lock actuator. there is a chance your car is still under the factory warranty if you are under 3 years and 36,000 miles and in that case the repair would be covered under warrranty. the warranty is on the car, not on the owner so it doesn’t matter if you bought the car used.
if none of the doors lock when you press the remote then the problem is with the remote on the key. try the other key (you should have received two). if the other key works then use that. if you only have one key then you’ll have to replace it and have the new key reprogrammed. that will cost about $100.
if the unlock works fine then the communication system and the control unit work fine.
hope that helps

A: i have never heard of doing this just do it yourself its very easy you can buy a little kit thingy at walmart for like 25 or 30 bucks and you can put watever freon you want in it.
Q: How much did it cost you to own 2008 Honda Accord LX Sedan?
I am planning to own a new honda accord LX Sedan but wondering the right price to own. I know Kelley Blue Book prices but I would like people’s experiences. Please provide a price including Destination Charge. Thanks!
A: auto-$21,160
man-$20,360
and for delivery is like $600-800 more that’s all I can tell you.
Q: How much would it cost to paint my 95 Honda Accord?
I have a gold honda accord that I want black. I dont want anything fancy just a standard black coat. I Live near Dallas texas is that matters.. Please help!
A: Regardless of what color you want, paint jobs are standard priced, regardless of being “fancy”. You’ll get a paint job according to your budget. Meaning this is the reason Maaco has a whole car paint package for $400, and also one for $2500. It all depends on how well you want it to look. But beware, the low end ones really look bad, and it’s not worth going to a different color and have it actually look worse. I would advise that with a 10 year old car, just live with it.
Q: What could be cause for poor acceleration on a 2001 Honda Accord LX?
My 2001 Honda Accord LX has almost 140k miles on it and lately its acceleration has been bad. I recently did a tune up on it. Replaced plugs, wires, rotor and cap. But that didn’t help any and driving under poor acceleration is pretty dangerous, especially trying to merge with traffic and can’t really keep up with everybody. I need to know what else could be the probelm and how much its going to cost to fix it?
A: Maybe plugged fuel filter, injectors, or low fuel pressure. Could also be a plugged cat. converter. Take it to the dealership and have it scanned.. An Autozone scanner will not read anything unless your check engine light is on..
Q: How much would it cost to completely replace a 2005 Honda Accord front bumper?
I cracked the front end of my ‘05 Honda Accord and I’m thinking that I have to get the entire thing replaced.
Can someone give me an estimate as to how much the whole thing will cost total? (Bumper itself, plus installment, plus paint, etc.)
A: call a place in the foxboro mass. area “certifit”
you can buy a bumper from $50 to $150 there
have a body shop install and paint it for $175-$275
Q: Where’s the fuse for 1993 Honda Accord taillights and instrument panel?
Hi. The taillights on my 1993 Honda Accord and the instrument panel light both stopped working at the same time. So I figure I have a blown fuse. But I can’t figure out which one is the right fuse.
There’s two fuse boxes: One under the steering wheel and one in the engine compartment. But none of the fuses are clearly labeled as the taillights and instrument panel fuse. Some of them are labeled with acronyms or names like “lighting relay.”
Can any of you kind folks tell me which is the right fuse?
A: Well sounds like a Short to ground and being a Honda Factory Technician for 20 yrs, I would consider looking for woring that has corrected and or lost the insulation. and By the way what about a headlight switch also ????
The fuse for the headlights are under the engine Compartment as well as all major circuits.
Think aboutit this way, if the rear lights go out and the dashlights at the same time. You have major troubles.
I would look for short first. Then u a test light to trace it out.
Anymore questions buzz me LP
Q: How much should I offer for a honda accord hybrid?
This is only my second car — my first finally died after nine years. Now I’ll have to deal with dealers for the first time and want to know what’s good to offer for a 2005 or 2006 Honda Accord Hybrid, esp. now since the 2007s are here. I’m willing to buy the 2005 used, and would also appreciate suggestions, like lowering the price $X amount for every 5,000 miles driven.
A: you must be tough when you go to a dealer. i worked for them for years but am retired. ask the dealer to show you the folder on this particular car. when they bring it out make them show you how much they have in the car. Then offer them 500 dollars over what they have in it. the best time to buy is on the last day of their month. They should do whatever it takes to close the deal on that day. Be sure you check their math when they give you your numbers, but do it at the end of the deal, then correct them. you make the deal you want. They want to control you but you must control you car buying purchase. you can do it.
Q: How do you I replace the thermostat on a 1994 Honda Accord?
Based on some advice here on Answers, it seems like the thermosta is likely to be broken. How do I replace it? I have a 94 Accord, 5speed.
I have tried googling but can’t find a Honda source for replacement instructions or video.
Thanks.
BTW, Galaxie, in a 94 Accord, it is the BOTTOM hose which leads to the thermostat.
A: In American cars the thermostat is right there after you remove the radiator hose. I am unsure if it is the top hose or bottom. I want to say the bottom hose. I don’t know if import cars have the thermostat in the same place.
Q: How do i remove the door panel from a 93 honda accord?
I have a 93 honda accord lx and im trying to remove the door panel so i can check my speaker wires. The only problem Im having is getting it off around where the handle is. Please help!
I removed the screw by the door handle but it seems to still be stuck in that location.
A: There is usually a screw where the door handle is, so remove it if you haven’t already.
Here are a couple of schematics that may help:

Q: why is my 1991 honda accord difficult to get in and out of park?
Lately I’ve had great difficulty getting my 1991 honda accord in and out of park. I have checked the fuses and the break lights and have also had the cable lubricated. Now, once again it is stuck some where in between park and reverse and will not budge. Inserting the key in the safety release switch does not help either. Help!
A: Check transmission fluid levels, when is the last time you got your transmission fluid and filter changed?
Q: How much will it cost to fix the cv shaft boots in a 1996 honda accord?
How much will it cost to fix the cv shaft boots in a 1996 honda accord? I need an approximate price on how much it’ll be in the USA, California state.
A: Here’s the deal. All CV boots, from the factory are one solid piece, and so you have to remove the entire CV shaft, etc the change them, allot of cost for a really small simple job. Well, some enterprising mechanic/parts designer saw this, and made a CV boot that has a split right down the side, it closes up with some RTV and a seal, like a zip lock baggie- Done! nothing to take apart, well, just the squeeze seals at the ends, and it’s installed. Ask for them at your local auto parts store, or call you local NAPA autoparts store, most of those guys/gals are pretty decently educated on auto parts and will know what these are, and were to get them. They should be in stock at NAPA though. There blue in color- saves you a ton of $$$. C.
Try autozone….

Q: How do I change the cap on the reservoir overflow tank in my 1993 Honda Accord?
The cap on my overflow tank is letting water out. Does anyone know how to change it properly for a 1993 Honda Accord. It seems pretty easy. I am looking for pointers before I make a mistake.
A: I had this problem on a Grand Am I owned….
This was the solution on the Grand Am…in order to fix it, I had to buy a new overflow tank in order to get the new cap! However, I saved money by calling a couple junk yards to see if they had my year Grand Am. One did and I drove over and picked up the cap. I don’t remember what it cost me but it wasn’t much.
