Q: Does anybody know where I can find a speaker for the New Bright 1:10 Chevrolet Silverado?
Hello. I don’t know if anybody remembers, but in (I think) in 2007 or 2008 New Bright, the R/C Toys manufacturer, made a 1:10 scale of the Chevrolet Silverado with a place to put and play songs from your iPod (It would have fake speakers in place of the truck bed called “King Of Bling Audio Light Show” and was black with blue teared accents with “SILVERADO” on the windscreen and side.) Unfortunately, something happened with the built-in speaker and I was wondering if there is a place where I can purchase the speaker or the entire product. I tried looking on ebay and online stores (and retail store websites) don’t seem to have the product. Please, if anybody is willing to give up their own or has found somewhere selling them please tell me. Thank-you.
A: check on ebay
Q: OBDII not working on a 2004 chevrolet silverado.?
Does anyone know exactly which fuse goes to the OBDII. My cover is missing so I do not have a diagram. I cannot find it in the Haynes manual either. It is a two wheel drive with the 4.3. It would also be helpful if someone knows where I can find a diagram online.
A: Can you be more specific? OBDII means, (On Board Diagnostics 2nd generation) and it is a network of computers capable of running test on the systems they control in what is called a CAN bus, meaning (Controller Area Network) there is no such thing as an OBDII fuse. Please tell us some of the symptoms the truck is having instead of the diagnosis of a fuse that does not exist. Maybe you can get some help if you try that.
edit: Thanks for the hateful email,
What I was referring to was my inability to read your mind, maybe I am stupid, please forgive me. I have no idea what you do or do not know, or you wouldn’t be on here asking for help. No where in your post does it say you can not retrieve codes and I couldn’t just automatically know what you are thinking.
What you ask was “Does anyone know exactly which fuse goes to the OBDII”, what you meant was, Does anyone know exactly which fuse goes to the DLC (Data Link Connector), pin 16 has no power and I can’t retrieve codes.
Oh, how do I know that? I am an ASE Certified Master Tech and also an ASE L1 Advanced Tech for 30 years with full access to all OEM repair info. Please see link: http://www.nastf.org/i4a/pages/index.cfm?pageid=3452
I am happy for you that someone else was able to help you. Though I think that owning the same vehicle themselves, they had a better clue as to what you meant because they have had the same issue.
It sure does seem to me that a CIG LIGHTER FUSE would have been easy to spot as the culprit (oh yea right) if you had the cover though. Because an OBDII fuse still does not exist.
Q: Chevrolet Silverado 88-93 to 94-98 Grille Conversion?
DOES anyone know were to find the 88-93 conversion to 94-98 grille kit can be bought at? I have seen it in one magazine But have never been able to find it online.
OR
Can I take the grille from a 1994 silverado and put it on the 1990 with the stock bolt holes? That would be easier but knowing my luck it cannot be done. Thanks for the help!!
Yea I have the Quad light setup, the only thing that really looks different in LMC is were the bottom turn signal goes in it doesn’t have the little screw thing so i can screw it to the truck and the bottom amber (soon to be clear) has a square thing instead of the round one on the 88-93
A: Go to stylinconcepts.com. They have a conversion and anything else you can think of.

Q: Exhaust Chevrolet Silverado?
Ok. Just got an 04 Silverado LS. I’m just curious about an exhaust system. I’m thinking about going with aeroturbine, I think they sound pretty nice. Anybody have any recommendations? Also, if I buy the aeroturbine online, can i take it to a midas or an exhaust place and have them weld it on? will they do that? also, how much will it cost roughly for a single in dual out out the door? Not exactly just a ball park of what it should cost with piping, tips and labor.
Sorry if there are some mistakes with this, I’m in a hurry!
Thanks!
A: I would go with flowmaster 40 series, my friends have them on their chevys and they sound soooo good. and yes im sure you could take it down to midas or some mechanic shop to get the exaust system installed. good luck dude!!!

Q: What is the best way to sell a used car?
I have a Chevrolet Silverado truck from 1993 that I need to get sold relatively quickly. It’s going to need some repair: paint job, engine work, new tires. Kelley Blue Book online values it at approximately 2000-2500 dollars, but I would be happy with 800-1000. Any ideas on the best way to go about this?
A: The best and cheapest way is to park it on the end of a street, a parking lot, or somewhere with lots of traffic, and post a huge sign in the window. I sold 2 cars like this in less than 2 weeks!
Q: where can i find a 1992 Chevrolet 1500 pickup door latch mechanism, drivers side door?
i am looking for a drivers side door latch for a chevy silverado 1500 1992, automatic door locks and automatic windows. i am not a car guy so i have no idea where to find this kind of stuff. perferbly online or in central arkansas.
A: Ive checked all my Chevy parts pages on the net and they have everything but the latch. This latch appears to be a dealer only part.Best of luck with your silverado.
Q: How can I diagnose if a fuel pump is broken on a 2001 Silverado?
Okay, so my friend is borrowing my 2001 Chevrolet Silverado. The gas gauge has been screwed up (a common problem with Chevy trucks apparently after online searches), so I advised him to just make sure that there’s gas in the tank by monitoring the trip odometer. Well, the other day he was driving and the truck just died on him. I suspected it was out of gas (can’t know for sure with the screwed up gas gauge), so I added about 6 gallons to it. It turns over, but won’t start. I’m guessing it’s a fuel pump and, with the help of a neighbor, am thinking about fixing it myself. Question is: how can I make sure that it is, in fact, the fuel pump? I know it can be tricky to fix, but I’m up for it (have another car to drive while I work on it). What steps would I go through to come to a conclusion about this (am trying to avoid going to the shop…really wanna fix it myself!) Thanks!
A: Ya still hace to drop the tank. Have buddy turn the key on while you listen for the hum from the tank. If no humm, just bang on the tank with a stick when they turn the key on. If it starts than the pump is pooched, new pump comes with a filter. Have fun droping the tank to get to it. If it is like most GM` s it`s worth lifting the floor mat to see if they ran the fuel pump wires under the drivers side floof mat and it has worn oult below the area your heel for your shoe sits as GM had a bad habit of doing this only for the fuel pump/gage and always ran it under the floor mat under the drivers floor mat.otherwise check your fuel pressure regulator
Q: I am looking at buying a truck but I am unsure if the frame is bent?
is this even worth it? I am bidding on it. It’s a 2009 Chevy silverado
http://www.autobidmaster.com/carfinder-online-auto-auctions/lot/20373000/COPART_2009_CHEVROLET_SILVERADO_SALVAGE_VEHICLE_TITLE_DALLAS_TX/subscribe/c13481008c7d9fd795325509d3ede28a/62112063/
Another problem is the truck is two hours away so I can’t just go look at it. :/
A: From 2of the pictures it looks like there might be some frame damage, one on the rear of the vehicle where the hitch is bent downwards(much of the time its bolted or welded to the chassis) and another picture shows the truck bed might have impacted the cab all this appear to be minor fixes but it all boils down to the final auction price of the vehicle. this could make a great project for any diy’selfer i would say go for it but only if the price is right. good luck
Q: Am I crazy to think I could get my dream truck now?
I found a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT2 4X4 online locally. I called the dealer and they’d like me to go look at it. I am in love with this truck already as a friend has the same one with different mods but it drives great. Here are the specs – Price: 39995 Mileage: 8186 Engine: Vortec 5.3L V8 SFI Transmission: Automatic Warranty: Vehicle has an existing warranty .. now I have a gross monthly income of about $3,500. My credit is little or bad if anything. Will I be laughed at for trying to get this truck? I’ve only owned one car and I planned to just trade it in since I just paid it off. (Bought it from my dad) It’s a 2008 Ford Explorer, has quite a bit of miles but is decent. Should I put some money down as well? What would be a decent down payment along with my trade in? I am a first time buyer and any help would be appreciated before I go out there this weekend to just look in person. Thanks
Yeah my credit score is low.. 540 last I checked and only being building not going down on it. I only have $500 in bills monthly. I know it is $40k but I’m planning on doing some negotiating. My general question was if it seems normal? Or is this the type of car/money people with $$$ get and not us average folks?
It comes with leather seats, navigation system… it’s been lifted and has different tires than the stock model. I’m not sure how much difference that makes.. looks like it has quite a bit of after market mods.. the site showing it is http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/ctd/1257687257.html
And I’m from Texas, thanks
A: $40K on a used Silverado? Where are you, Alaska?
First off, they are asking WAY too much on that truck. Does it have tons of aftermarket stuff on it, which jacks up the retail price (but actually doesn’t make it worth hardly anything above book)?
To answer your real question… no person on here is going to know for sure. We don’t know your credit situation (although you guess at it in your question, you MUST know it thoroughly before going to purchase a vehicle), we have no idea of your trade-in if there is one, no idea of your debt-income ratio, etc.
You could live in two different worlds… one where you make $3500 and only have $500 in bills, or one where you make $3500 and have $3400 in bills. Knowing this would help us (and YOU) make an educated decision.
In my humble opinion, I wouldn’t spend $40K on a vehicle if I made $3500 a month.
